EXP Research Team

In 2003 Michele Patanè, Marco Kisic, Stefano Minelli and Luciano Perondi founded the EXP Research Team. The research team is formed by two type designers and two psychologists, it studies the reading process, the influences of the irregularity of typefaces on reading and the non linear script. EXP is now starting to work on the effects of presbiopia on reading and on how an adequate design of types could help presbiopian readers.
All these researches are applied to type and information and their aim is to improve the design of typefaces for text and sign systems. EXP is also involved in designing and publishing a practical application of all its researches.
